英语里的时间状语从句语法学习

　　除了when，while，since，as，till，until，before，after之外，英语中，引导时间状语从句的还有如下词语：

　　1. the moment, the instant, the minute (= as soon as )

　　a. I sent you the news the instant I heard it. 一听到这个消息，我就通知你了。= I sent you the news as soon as I heard it.

　　b. The minute you do this, you'll lose control. 你一旦做了这件事，就会失去控制。

　　2. immediately, directly, instantly ( = as soon as )

　　a. I went home directly I had finished the work. 我一干完活就回家了。

　　= I went home as soon as I had finished the work.

　　b. Immediately she had gone, I remembered her name. 她刚走我就想起了她的名字。

　　3. once (=as soon as )

　　Once she was out in the street, Polly headed for her usual bus stop. 一到了街上，Polly就朝往常的公共汽车站奔去。

　　4. Hardly /Scarcely ... when /than ...;

　　No sooner ... than ...

　　Hardly /No sooner had we sat down to supper than the phone rang. 我们刚坐下用晚餐，电话就响了。

　　= As soon as we sat down to supper, the phone rang.

　　5. the first time, the last time, the next time

　　The first time /The last time I saw him, he was still a little boy. 我第一次 /上一次看见他，他还是个小男孩。

　　=When I saw him for the first time/When I saw him last time, he was still a little boy.

　　6. anytime, every time, each time ( = whenever, no matter when )

　　Anytime something is burnt, carbon is sent into the atmosphere. 无论什么时候有东西燃烧，碳就会排放到大气之中。
