英语语法学习“条件”表达法

　　除了if与unless从句可表达“条件”外，还包括：

　　1. 短语介词：on condition that; as/so long as

　　2. 分词：assuming, supposing, providing, provided, given

　　例如：

　　Providing /Provided (that) they are fit, I see no reason why they shouldn't go on playing for another four or five years.

　　3. 句式：

　　a. 祈使句 + and /or + 陈述句

　　例如：

　　Keep on and you will make it.

　　= If you keep on, you will make it.

　　Be cautious or you might get into trouble.

　　=If you are not cautious, you might get into trouble.

　　该句式中的祈使句，也可由一个名词短语来替代。

　　如：

　　Five minutes earlier and you would have caught the train.

　　= If you had arrived five minutes earlier, you would have caught the train.

　　b. the + 比较级，the + 比较级

　　例如：

　　The higher you stand, the farther you will see.

　　= If you stand higher, you will see farther.
