　　父亲节的由来

　　father‘s day is a fairly new celebration in the british calendar compared with mother‘s day, which has been a very popular and well celebrated festival in the uk for a very long time.

　　the origins of the celebrati on are american and it was inspired by the actions of a man named william smart. he was a veteran of the us civil war and his wife died giving birth to their sixth child. he raised six children alone without remarrying, which was undoubtedly unusual back in those days.

　　his daughter, sonora dodd, realised when she was an adult what her father had sacrificed for his children. it was in the early 1900s and she was actually at church one day, listening to a sermon on mother‘s day. she thought there should also be a father‘s day celebration.

　　and so the tradition was born, on the third sunday every june, close to the anniversary of sonora‘s father‘s death. britain took the idea of father‘s day from the american celebration and it has been celebrated officially since the 1970s。

　　地铁的好处 The Advantages of Metro

　　Last week, I went to Guangzhou with my friends. We were so excited about the trip, it took us three hours to arrive in Guangzhou railway station. At first, we were so confused about how to get out of the railway station, then we saw the big sign which showed us to take the metro. When we got to the subway station, a big picture was showed in front of us, we figured out our way quickly. When we were in the metro, we counted the time, we never thought it was so quickly, we just spent ten minutes to reach our destination, we found our hotel soon. Metro is so convenient, we don’t have to go out of the railway station, we just need to find the subway’s entrance. What’s more, it is very fast, unlike bus, which will turn around many roads, metro just goes the straight line.

　　上周，我和朋友们去广州玩。我们对这次的旅游很兴奋，我们花了3个小时到到广州火车站。一开始，我们不知道怎么样走出站，然后我们看到了一个大的指示语，指示我们去搭地铁。在我们到达地铁站的时候，一幅大大的地图展示在我们面前，我们很快就找到了路。我们上了车，数了下时间，从来没有想到会这么快，我们仅仅花了十分钟就到达了我们的目的地，并且很快就找到了宾馆。地铁很方便，我们不用走出火车站，只需要找到地铁站的入口。而且，地铁也很快，不像公交车，到处拐路线，地铁就走直线。

　　What do I want to do when I’m older? Someone wants to be a doctor. Someone wants to be a basketball player because they are good at sport. Someone wants to be a writer and to make the writing. Someone wants to be a teacher because they like teaching children.

　　I like playing the piano and I good at it. So I want to become a piano player. Play the piano is very interesting. And you can learn something of music. Piano can make you like music. A lot of musician and singer are love playing piano.

　　I play the piano when I’m ten years old. Now I’m in grand five. I hope when I’m sixteen years old , I can become grand eight. I’ll be harder and harder to practise.

　　Become a piano play is a hard job. But I believe I can do it.

　　我长大了想做什么呢?有人想成为一名医生。有人想成为一个篮球运动员，因为他们擅长运动。有人想成为一个作家去写作。有人想成为一名教师，因为他们喜欢教孩子。

　　我喜欢弹钢琴，我很好。所以我想成为一名钢琴师。弹钢琴是很有趣的。你可以学到一些音乐。钢琴可以使你喜欢的音乐。很多音乐家和歌手都喜欢弹钢琴。

　　我弹钢琴的时候我十岁。现在我在大五。我希望当我十六岁，我可以成为大八。我会努力的练习。

　　成为一个钢琴演奏家是一项艰苦的工作。但我相信我能做到。
