When Tradition Meets Innovation
This is a changing world. We have so many products that are updating every day, which totally change the way we live. At first we only had telephones that could speak to each other, and then we got SMS to send text. We tried to made phones smaller to be portable. After that, we added camera function into phones and successfully linked it with internet. This is how we got our smart phones.
From the development of mobile phones, it is easy to tell that, all kind of innovation is based on what it had originally. Innovation is adding something new to or changing something that has been established. Tradition is a ritual, belief, or object passed down within a society, still maintained in the present, with origins in the past. Most, if not all things, incorporate lessons learned from both. 'Innovation and Tradition' represents opposite ends on the spectrum of change. When tradition meets innovation, all you need is to change another mind. You can combine totally different things together, or figure out different usages, in order to get new things.
A company needs to be creative while has a sense to satisfy consumers requirement in this dog-eats-dog environment. Therefore, innovative ability has become a vitally important key to success. Lets take Wechat as a sample. It took the place of original way to communicate and even added voice message, allow us to hear peoples voice freely. It really makes the connection between the worlds differently. Every a little change counts.
When you get an extra cup, makes it a pot to grow flowers; when you get some tea and milk, makes it a cup of milk tea; when you get a huge calabash, makes it a float.
In order to be irreplaceable, one must be always different. This is the belief that helps Coco Chanel to develop her brand into a world-famous luxury. To be different is just another saying of innovation. Nowadays, innovative ability has become a standard of job interviews. The more creative you are, the more opportunities could you get. All the promotions we make today comes from the inspiration due to innovation. We make our life become safe and convenient.

Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and it is one of the greatest signs that China become to the ancient civilized country. And nowadays, thousands of software, products, architectures and public facilities have upgraded more than that about 100 years ago. If there was no Apple, everyone could not imagine how to contact others easily and enjoy a better Internet surfing.
If there was no Microsoft, perhaps we still worked in a dim office and duplicate some troublesome documents. If there was no Newton, and no theory of gravity, maybe I will win the Nobel Prize like Newton rather than just standing here. I have heard that three apple changed the world. The first one seduced Eve. The second one awakened Newton. The third one was in the hands of Steve Jobs. We sort of think the innovation of the world began with apple. I imagine lots of people want to become another Newton or Jobs right now with just one hand to change the world, rightHave the innovation to follow your heart. Via questioning, we can start to innovate. Via innovating, we can start to create better lives. No innovation, no improvement. No improvement, no success. And no success, no civilization. So we may wonder does our tradition get out of the modern lifeAbsolutely not. What we need is just a peace of innovation. There is no more then a battle between tradition and innovation, which is the rain and water relationship, not only tradition like fish without water, again good innovation will also become the castles in the air, there won't be lasting vitality. Only both of them are perfectly together will bear fruits of success as well.
With the economic globalization becoming increasingly intensive, innovation has become one of central topics around the world. Many countries see it as the key to develop their economy. Our government, with no exception, regard it as " the soul of our nation." Based on advanced function system and excellent management, factories are booming and enhance overall national economy. Highly development of electronic commerce is also a significant factor for improving our living standards. The enlargement of our authority to the recruit of graduate and improvement of the conditions of scientists and skilled workers ......
From all above, innovation has already became a kind of habit. There is no doubt we would surprise the world by creating more and more amazing innovations taking advantages of not only our intelligence but innovation. I’m sure innovation has became one of the symbols in Chinese tradition and will be mark of our bright future!

Learning English just like learning to ride a bicycle. When learning English becomes a kind of habit, everything will like splitting bamboo.
Please, think about it, how we learned to ride a bicycle. There are four stages: At the first stage, the child doesn’t know what it is to ride a bicycle nor can he ride. This is the stage of unconscious incompetence. So look at ourselves, when we got in touch with English at the first time, we were also in this condition.
And then is the second stage. Although the child cannot ride himself, he grows and understands what it is to ride a bicycle. So, at this time, teachers are our navigation marks.
So according to this, we just like the child starts learning and now comes the third stage, which is called consciously competent. Now he can ride a bicycle but has to think every time how to do it.
At last, the fourth stage comes when the child has practiced consciously riding the bicycle so much that he doesn’t have to think. It becomes an automatic process. Riding bicycle becomes a kind of habit. He can talk to people and wave to others while riding. At this level we don’t need the concentration and thinking ’cause the behavior pattern has become automatic.
Stand here, I’m so shame to say “we”, ’cause I think my level is only at the 3rd stage. I’m just struggling for CET-6. But from now on I realize that English is not only for the test but also others. I expect to climb to the 4th stage just like the farmers who expect rich harvest.
Stand here, we know if we look forward to rich harvest we must have the desire to sow. And of cause if we sow potatoes, we are only going to reap potatoes, not tomatoes.
Stand here, we know the same meaning, if we study English hard, we’ll get progress. So we must know that we cannot expect the fireplace to give us heat before we put in the fuel.
Stand here , I think it is unnecessary to stress what teachers had already stressed in our classes. I just impress my opinion, that is “Learning becomes a kind of habit”. It’s in my eyes. A farmer knows that it cannot sow and reap in the same day. There is always a period of gestation.
Stand here, we are not the farmers and we are not the children, but actually we’re students. We know learning never stops. Learning English just like learning to ride a bicycle.
So stand here, when learning becomes a kind of habit, not only English but also others will achieve the goal. When learning becomes a kind of habit, I think ,no, I trust, in one day you’ll succeed and the success will belong to you forever.

In the modern society study English is becoming more important and popular. But when I was young, I didn’t know of this and prefer to play outside rather than learn English. But my mother said :“English is the necessary tools to talk with foreigners, so you should study in an English class. Believe yourself, You can certainly study English well!”Finally I agreed my mom’s opinion and began to study ladder English when I was five.
At the beginning I was happy to study, because it was fun in the English class. We played games, and only studied five words, sentence a time. We also learned to sing a lot of English songs. In this studying environment, I was interested in English for the first time.
When I was in grade two, my mother thought that I should study English formally, so she let me study in the class of teacher Ye of Young Palace of Beijing. In her class I began to learn the New Concept English and touched the grammar for the first time. Teacher Ye let us practice the oral English, listening and writing. Although I should remember much more words than before and had to practice listening and writing every day, and must take the crowded bus to school for two hours every week, I was very happy because I could learn much knowledge that not taught in school.
With my mother and teacher’s encouragement and teaching, I studied very hard and won many prize in the competition. When I was in grade four, I passed PETS 1 with the score of 88 of writing, and 5 of oral English, and I passed PETS 2 in grade five. I was very happy and excited because I had the experience of talking with foreigners, and even used English to help some people when they met the communication problem.
