英语阅读学习活跃动词词义搭配

　　英语语感的提高需要同学们在平时多阅读，多积累，对一些活跃的动词不仅要记住意思，还要知道词义搭配。

　　1. develop

　　a. She developed the company from nothing. 她白手起家办起了这家公司。

　　b. The company develops and markets new software. 这家公司开发并销售新软件。

　　c. The car developed engine trouble and we had to stop. 汽车发动机出了故障，我们只好停车。

　　d. I had the film developed yesterday. 我昨天把胶卷拿去冲洗了。

　　2. direct

　　a. Most of his anger was directed against himself. 他主要是生自己的气。

　　b. A new manager has been appointed to direct the project. 已任命一位新经理来管理这项工程。

　　c. The movie was directed by Zhang Yimou. 影片由张艺谋执导。

　　d. A police officer was directing the traffic. 一名警察在指挥交通。

　　e. The police officers have been directed to search the building. 警察奉命搜查这座大楼。

　　3. dismiss

　　a. I think we can safely dismiss their objections. 我认为对于他们的异议完全可以置之不理。

　　b. She claims she was unfairly dismissed from her post. 她声称被无理解职。

　　c. At 12 o’clock, the class was dismissed. 12点下课了。

　　d. The case was dismissed. 此案已被驳回。

　　e. Her image cannot be dismissed from his mind. 她的形象在他脑中挥之不去。

　　4. draft

　　a. draft a contract /bill /letter 起草合同、法案、信件

　　b. draft sb. into the army 征召某人入伍

　　c. Extra police have been drafted into the region after the violence. 暴乱过后又有警力被抽调到了这个地区。

　　5. drill

　　a. drill a hole in the wall 在墙壁上钻孔

　　b. a well-drilled team 训练有素的团队

　　6. drive

　　a. drive a taxi 开出租车

　　b. drive sb. to the airport 开车送某人去机场

　　c. drive sb. mad /crazy 使某人发疯

　　d. drive sb. away 将某人赶走

　　e. drive a nail into wood 将钉子钉进木板

　　f. driven by interest 为利益所驱使

　　7. drop

　　a. Can you drop me near the bank? 可以让我在银行附近下车吗?

　　b. Drop me a line when you get there. 到那儿后给我写封信。

　　c. You can drop a subject if you don’t like it. 不喜欢的科目你可以放弃。

　　d. At last the wind dropped. 风力终于减弱了。

　　e. Be careful not to drop the vase. 小心别把花瓶摔了。

　　f. He was worn out and dropped into the chair. 他累坏了，一屁股坐在椅子上。

　　8. elect

　　a. the newly elected president 新选的总统

　　b. elect to work from home 选择在家上班
