Several different stories are told about the origin of Saint Valentine’s Day. One legend dates as far back as the days of Roman Empire. According to the story. Claudius, the Emperor of Rome, wanted to increase the size of the army. He knew that it would be easier to get young men who were not married to join the army; therefore, he made a rule that no young men could marry until he had served in the army for a number of years.

A priest named Valentine broke the rule and secretly married a great number of young people. Finally, Claudius found out about Valentine and put the priest in prison, where he remained until his death on February 14.

上学期高二英语教学工作计划

根据《新课标》精神,高中英语教学要在培养学生的语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等素养的基础上培养综合语言运用能力。因此,高二学年的英语教学将继续培养和优化学生的英语学习方法,使他们能通过观察、体验、探究等主动学习的方法,充分发挥自己的学习潜能,形成有效的学习策略,提高自主学习的能力。同时,还要关注学生的情感,提高他们的人文素养,提高他们独立思考和判断能力,培养创新精神和实践能力,增进跨文化理解和交际能力。

一、基本情况:

面对这些教学目标和教学方向,对我们的教学具体实施也带来了更高的要求和挑战。

(一)不断学习高中英语新课程的内容和探究实施方案。让自己明白如何在平时的教学中真正做到具有创造性、开放性、灵活性、能够针对性地使用教材,而不是照本宣科地去教教材。用心钻研,认真备好每一节课,设计好每一篇教案,采用任务型教学方式,千方百计启发学生进行自主学习、合作学习及探究式学习,培养学生的创新精神和实践能力。同时,我还要注意做到注重学生的个体差异,因材施教。

(二)上好每一个课,要求学生在学习中不断总结语言规律并认真探讨学法,帮助学生养成良好的学习习惯和形成正确的学习策略。在教学过程中,老师也要开动脑筋,查阅资料帮助学生改进学习方法与策略,促使他们学习英语能力的不断发展。如:

①积极倡导自主学习、分组讨论、合作学习方式。

②发挥评价的检查和促进作用,设置英语课堂或课后学习行为表现评价表。

如以作业批改、小测、课堂提问、写作、角色扮演、听写、朗读等项目来进行评价。利用小组互评、学生自评、小组长评价、老师评价等形式。

辅导学生能自己及时地检测自己的学习和发展情况,为教学提供参考尺度。并让学生对自己的学习过程进行评价或反思,学会认识自己,改变不良的学习习惯以便更好地改进学习策略。

平时多听取公开课和示范课,多虚心听取来自各方面的意见和建议。同时自己多积累教学经验与总结,上课后写好教学反思。使自己在不断学习、积累和反思中充实和提高自己,适时调整教学教研进度和难度。

(三)练习的布置

科学地布置每单元的作业,并做到及时批改与反馈。准备每一单元做一次练习,主要以结合当前教学内容为主要测试内容, 间或分块测试,习题的训练在于精而不在于多。

在教学中尽量按照高考的知识体系有针对性地选择典型性题目。针对共性问题进行精讲,让学生在书本中找到解决问题的源泉,学会思考、整理和归纳。
